Solo Traveler Drugged, Assaulted, and Robbed of £1,800 in Foreign Country

Date:

A man from England, Jamie Lathan, shared his disturbing experience of being drugged, assaulted, and robbed of £1,800 while traveling solo in a foreign country. According to Jamie, the incident occurred after a night out at a nightclub where he met an Indonesian woman who allegedly spiked his drinks before the assault took place.

Jamie recounted being hit from the side and then coerced to ride on a motorbike with the woman, who eventually took him to his accommodation. He described waking up fully clothed in his room but realizing that his £1,800 was missing from his bag. Jamie estimated that he lost consciousness for about four hours and woke up feeling disoriented and ill.

Despite the ordeal, Jamie did not report the incident to the authorities but sought medical attention the next day, receiving 16 stitches for a head wound and seven stitches above his eyebrow. He also attempted to obtain CCTV footage from the nightclub but was unsuccessful in his efforts.

Expressing his frustration at the lack of response and support, Jamie highlighted the impact the incident had on his confidence while traveling alone. He mentioned that his family and friends back home were deeply concerned upon learning about the traumatic experience during his solo trip.

The unsettling event took place on May 9 at La Covida nightclub in Denpasar, Bali. Jamie’s quest for justice and closure continues as he seeks answers and resolution following the distressing ordeal.
