A man carrying a knife outside a primary school in Gloucester prompted a lockdown situation.
Yesterday at approximately 11:15 am, emergency services responded to the incident on Evenlode Road, near Willow Primary Academy.
The area witnessed a significant police presence as officers remained on site to provide support and reassurance to the school and local residents, according to Gloucestershire Live.
Authorities believe that the knife incident is related to a separate event involving a firearm spotted in a vehicle on Evenlode Road. The vehicle in question was identified as a black Renault Clio.
The individuals associated with the incidents had no direct ties to the school, and law enforcement is treating the situation as an isolated one. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either incident, and investigations are ongoing.
No arrests have been made in connection with either event. Police are now seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incidents or have relevant details, urging them to come forward.
Gloucestershire Police specifically requested information from witnesses who saw the car in the area between 10:20 am and 11:15 am or possess relevant dashcam or CCTV footage.
