Reflecting on the recent surge in drowning incidents during the heatwave, Simon expressed deep empathy for the families affected, acknowledging the profound pain and trauma they endure. He stressed the urgency for action to address the escalating issue of drowning in the UK, calling for government intervention.

The gravity of the ripple effects of drowning, not only on families but also on emergency responders, resonates deeply with Simon. He shared a poignant encounter with a police officer who had tried to save Sam, illustrating the lasting impact of such incidents on those involved.
