Two adolescents were airlifted to a medical facility following a stabbing incident reportedly carried out by a group wearing masks near a serene park in Northampton.
The attack occurred at 8:35 pm on Friday at East Oval, King’s Heath, with three individuals sustaining stab wounds. The victims, aged 17 and 18, were transported to the hospital, where the 18-year-old is receiving treatment for severe injuries.
Northamptonshire Police disclosed that they suspect six individuals were involved, five of whom donned dark attire and face coverings, while the sixth wore a white t-shirt and shorts.
Authorities believe one suspect fled the scene in a small dark-colored car and are urging anyone who witnessed the vehicle leaving the area to come forward.
The public is encouraged to share any doorbell, CCTV, or dashcam footage of the incident with Northamptonshire Police promptly.
Detective Inspector Gary Collins of Northamptonshire Police stated, “We are diligently working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the incident. Any information or footage related to the events leading up to it is crucial for our investigation.”
Collins added, “The community in Kings Heath has shown solidarity by aiding the victims and cooperating with law enforcement. Our Neighbourhood Policing Team will be present in Kings Heath over the weekend to assist anyone with information or concerns about the incident.”
