Two individuals lost their lives in a collision involving a TUI tourist bus and three vehicles in the popular vacation destination of Lanzarote. The tragic incident occurred on the LZ-2 highway in the southwestern part of the island, resulting in two casualties and injuries to two others, including a young child.
Visuals from the accident site depict significant damage to the TUI bus, with its front section severely impacted and the windshield shattered, along with the wreckage of a car. Among those affected were an Italian couple traveling with a child in one of the cars, who sadly did not survive, along with eight other individuals who sustained injuries, including a five-year-old and a 36-year-old bus passenger.
Following reports of the crash on the road connecting Playa Blanca resort and Yaiza town, local authorities, paramedics, and firefighters promptly responded to the scene. Emergency services confirmed the fatalities of a man and a woman, while the injured child was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
The incident involved a total of three cars and a bus, with firefighters working to secure the area, extract trapped victims, and provide necessary assistance. The deceased occupants were from the same vehicle, believed to be Italian nationals residing in Lanzarote. Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the tragic collision.
