A 17-year-old female was stabbed in the neck in Lancashire, prompting armed police to respond to the incident on Wood Street in Brierfield. The authorities swiftly cordoned off the area, leading to the arrest of a 30-year-old male on suspicion of attempted murder.
According to a spokesperson from Lancashire Police, the incident was reported at 3:06 pm on Friday, involving the assault of the teenager resulting in a neck stab wound. Law enforcement officers, including armed personnel, arrived at the scene and apprehended the suspect shortly after.
The injured girl was transported to a hospital for treatment of the stab wound at the back of her neck. To reassure the local community, additional patrols will be deployed in the area.
