Dee and Dale Warner’s marriage in 2006 surprised their friends and family due to their contrasting personalities. Dee, a sociable 52-year-old, often vacationed separately from her quiet farmer husband, Dale. The couple, who resided on a vast 4,000-acre property in Michigan, managed thriving businesses including a trucking company and a farm that produced crops, along with a chemical company selling fertilizers and seeds.
While Dee oversaw the lucrative trucking business with around 15 employees, Dale primarily focused on farm work. Despite their successful business partnership worth millions, their relationship became strained, resembling more of a business arrangement than a romantic union. Dee expressed her desire for a divorce, revealing past unhappiness and admitting to an affair that had ended a year prior.
On a fateful night in April 2021, Dee arranged for her daughter to stay elsewhere, intending to discuss separation and asset liquidation with Dale the next morning. However, Dee went missing, leaving behind personal items but taking essentials like her passport. Dale, seemingly unperturbed, claimed Dee had voluntarily left, suggesting she used a secret phone for planning.
