“Survey Reveals Top Dad Joke for Father’s Day”

Date:

A collection of the nation’s most beloved dad jokes has been revealed ahead of Father’s Day. A survey of 2,000 Brits unveiled the top pick as: “I’m on a seafood diet… I see food and I eat it”, which received 18% of the votes. Other popular dad jokes include: “I only know 25 letters of the alphabet… I don’t know y”, “Two guys walked into a bar. The third guy ducked”, and “Yesterday I was washing the car with my son. He said, ‘Dad, can’t you just use a sponge?’.”

Despite the divisive nature of dad jokes, many individuals express a fondness for them. Over half of the respondents mentioned that their dad is one of the funniest people they know. Nearly one in five shared that their dad always manages to bring a smile to their face, even on the toughest days, while 14% believe their father’s sense of humor is incomparable.

In addition to their humor, dads are cherished for their support, with 21% of Brits describing their father as their “rock.” As Father’s Day approaches, almost 30% of people are planning to gift their dad something meaningful. Popular gifts include a bottle of whisky (13%), craft beer or ale (12%), a personalized T-shirt (11%), and a bag of favorite sweets (10%).

Gifting expert Jess Henderson from Bloom & Wild emphasized the importance of Father’s Day as an opportunity to celebrate the uniqueness of dads, from their humor to their unwavering support. She highlighted the challenge of finding the perfect gift for dads and the significance of expressing gratitude and forming emotional connections on this special day.
