“Instagram Drug Dealer’s Lavish Life Ends in 10-Year Prison”

Date:

A man who flaunted his extravagant lifestyle on Instagram by showcasing luxury items like Rolex watches, driving a Lamborghini, and spending over £1,200 on a meal at Salt Bae’s restaurant has been sentenced to 10-and-a-half years in prison. Jordan Woolmer, 28, was convicted of dealing cocaine and cannabis following a four-year police investigation.

Police discovered multiple social media posts where Woolmer displayed his opulent life, featuring images of him driving high-end cars and posing with a Rolex watch in a Bentley. One photo captured him dining at Salt Bae’s Nusr-Et London steakhouse, where he ran up a bill exceeding £1,200, all paid in cash.

Woolmer, residing in Burton Latimer, Northamptonshire, received his sentence at Northampton Crown Court on June 12. The investigation commenced after Woolmer and his associate Kacper Burzynski were apprehended in Northampton in 2022 with 450g of cannabis, 83g of cocaine, and £7,000 in cash.

During the probe, authorities recovered a £12,500 Rolex watch, £20,000 in cash from a rented property, and designer attire from Woolmer’s residence. Additionally, his fingerprints were found on a sum of over £14,000 in Leicester. Subsequently, his prints were linked to 500g of cocaine in a storage unit in Rutland.

On May 24, 2024, Woolmer was rearrested following the seizure of another 500g of cocaine, designer clothing, and £16,000 in cash from two properties in Burton Latimer. Throughout the investigation, police confiscated £57,465 in cash, one kilogram of cocaine, 500g of cannabis, and clothing valued at £34,680.

Detective Constable James Roe of Northamptonshire Police stated, “No one should profit from illicit gains.” He emphasized that Woolmer’s extravagant lifestyle on Instagram, beyond his legitimate means, led to his downfall. The thorough investigation and attention to detail by the police resulted in the appropriate sentencing for Woolmer’s offenses.

In addition to his drug-related charges, Woolmer received an additional one year and 10 months for violating a suspended sentence order, plus three months for driving without a license or while disqualified. He was also banned from driving for over seven years. Woolmer’s accomplice, Burzynski, admitted involvement in drug supply and possessing criminal assets, receiving a suspended 10-month prison sentence for two years.
