A total of 213 individuals in Spain lost their lives due to the ongoing heatwave from Monday to Wednesday this week. Europe is currently facing an exceptionally severe heatwave, marked by unprecedented temperatures, maximum alerts, and considerable impacts in various nations.
According to data from the Carlos III Health Institute’s Daily Mortality Monitoring System (MoMo) in Madrid, the recorded deaths in Spain during the mentioned period reached 213. The MoMo system tracks daily mortality statistics in Spain and assesses the mortality fluctuation by comparing the current figures with expected levels based on historical data.
