Authorities have requested assistance in identifying a man captured in an image following an alleged sexual assault incident on a crowded London Underground Tube carriage.
The British Transport Police have released a photo of a man they seek to interview in connection with the reported assault on a Northern Line train heading towards Tufnell Park in North London.
The victim entered the train during rush hour around 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 23, and positioned herself near the doors. Allegedly, she was sexually assaulted before the perpetrator disembarked at Tufnell Park Underground station.
In a recent statement, a British Transport Police spokesperson stated, “Investigators are releasing this image in relation to a sexual assault that occurred on a Northern Line Tube train towards Tufnell Park.”
The spokesperson added, “Around 5:30 pm on Thursday, April 23, a female passenger boarded a Northern Line train and was subjected to a sexual assault by a man who alighted at Tufnell Park Underground station.”
Detectives are eager to speak to the individual depicted in the image, believing he may possess crucial information for their inquiry.
Individuals who can identify the man are encouraged to reach out to British Transport Police by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 491 of April 23.
