Prince Harry is reportedly planning a visit to Diana’s grave in the UK with his children, Archie and Lilibet. Harry and Meghan Markle are set to make their first joint trip to the UK in four years. The family will be attending an event related to the upcoming 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
During their stay, Harry is expected to take his children to Althorp House, where Diana, Princess of Wales, is buried. The visit will coincide with what would have been Diana’s 65th birthday. Diana’s final resting place is on a private island within the Althorp Estate, which is not open to the public.
Harry has made several visits to his mother’s grave over the years and previously took Meghan there in 2022. Despite this, Archie and Lilibet have not yet seen their grandmother’s grave. The upcoming trip will provide them with the opportunity to pay their respects.
The family’s visit will include stops in Birmingham and London for the Invictus events. Althorp Estate will be closed to visitors during their stay, as confirmed on the estate’s website. Additionally, it is noteworthy that Harry has a personal connection to Althorp, having stayed there during past visits, notably in 2024 for Lord Robert Fellowes’ funeral.
Preceding their UK visit, sources have revealed that King Charles has extended an offer for the family to stay in royal accommodations. For security reasons, Harry has agreed to stay at Buckingham Palace, as reported by the Mirror. It is anticipated that the family will also have a meeting with King Charles during their stay.
The potential meeting between Harry, Meghan, and King Charles is seen as a significant step towards improving relations. Despite past challenges, it is clear that the King values his relationship with his son and daughter-in-law and eagerly anticipates spending time with his grandchildren.
