“Man Fatally Attacked with Prosthetic Leg, Perpetrator Buys Milkshake”

Date:

A man was fatally attacked using his prosthetic leg before the alleged perpetrator went to purchase a milkshake, according to court testimony. Dwayne Tuohey, aged 55, who was an amputee, was discovered with severe injuries near some trash cans on New Year’s Day in 2026 near his residence in Leeds.

Scott Silkstone, aged 51 and without a fixed address, is presently on trial for the murder of Mr. Tuohey at Leeds Crown Court, where he denies the accusations. The prosecution asserts that Mr. Silkstone assaulted Dwayne at his apartment, moved him to an elevator, left him partially unclothed on the street, and then proceeded to buy a milkshake.

Witnesses heard that when Mr. Silkstone was apprehended a few blocks away shortly after the incident, he was covered in blood and allegedly remarked to officers, “I’ll have more injuries than him.” The prosecutor, Michelle Colborne KC, guided the jury through CCTV footage showing Mr. Silkstone’s movements before and after the reported attack on Dwayne.

The footage captured Mr. Silkstone entering and leaving a council high-rise building where Dwayne resided, with visible blood on his hands and face in subsequent recordings. Mr. Silkstone was seen making phone calls from Dwayne’s phone before returning to the building where the victim was found.

Prosecutors described Mr. Silkstone’s actions following the alleged attack, indicating a prolonged period of violence towards Mr. Tuohey. The court was informed that Mr. Silkstone was recorded hitting Dwayne multiple times with no apparent resistance from the victim.

The trial is ongoing.
