“Speedboat Killer Accused of Assaulting New Girlfriend”

Date:

Jack Shepherd, known as the Speedboat killer, has been accused of assaulting a new girlfriend, as revealed by recent parole board documents. The heartless individual is facing charges including ABH, criminal damage, intentional suffocation, and controlling behavior towards a woman identified as Ms X in the documents. Shepherd, aged 38, made headlines previously for evading authorities in Georgia while facing charges for the death of Charlotte Brown in a speedboat incident on the River Thames. Following his release on license after serving a manslaughter sentence, Shepherd violated his terms and was sent back to jail. Details of his recall have now been disclosed, prompting a decision for his upcoming parole hearing to be held in public.

After changing his name and residing at approved premises, Shepherd met Ms X, a woman in her fifties, with whom he began a relationship. Despite being informed of Shepherd’s history by the police under “Claire’s Law,” the relationship turned abusive. Ms X reported Shepherd’s violent and coercive behavior to the authorities, leading to his arrest. Released on bail briefly, Shepherd’s license was revoked due to breaches, and he is now in custody awaiting further legal proceedings.

Shepherd’s parole hearing, scheduled for a public session, will involve potential testimony from Ms X. The case has been referred to the Parole Board for review, with a decision pending on whether Shepherd should remain in custody or be released again. The report indicates that the outcome of the pending legal process will determine the nature of the forthcoming hearing. The possibility of Ms X providing evidence at a criminal court is also under consideration, contingent on the Panel’s decision and the evolving circumstances of the case.

Previously living in Georgia with Maiko Tchanturidze, a local TV reporter, Shepherd eventually surrendered to authorities after confessing his fugitive status. Despite Maiko’s initial support during his incarceration, their relationship dissolved by 2023. Shepherd, a resident of Exeter, Devon, had fled the UK to avoid facing trial for Charlotte Brown’s death, an incident that sparked international attention and legal repercussions.
