Car Goes Airborne, Crashes into Aussie Woman’s Home

Date:

Security footage has captured a dramatic incident where a car went airborne and crashed into a 70-year-old woman’s home while she was inside watching TV. Fortunately, the elderly Australian woman emerged unharmed from the shocking event.

The footage, recorded by a neighbor’s security cameras, shows a Holden Commodore (known as a Vauxhall VXR8 in the UK) veering off the road, launching into the air, and landing on the roof of the house, causing damage to the property. Despite the car’s significant airtime during the crash on Wednesday night, most of the destruction occurred on the side of the residence in Perth, Western Australia.

The homeowner, who was present during the incident, recounted the chaos that unfolded as the car crashed onto her property while she was indoors. A 22-year-old woman allegedly fled the scene but was later apprehended by the police at a nearby residence. She faces charges of reckless driving and failure to provide information to law enforcement.

The young woman sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment. She is scheduled to appear in court at a later date before the Midland Magistrates Court for her alleged involvement in the incident.
