US Military Personnel Killed in Iranian Attacks

Date:

Two US military personnel have lost their lives, with another one missing, as a result of Iranian missile and drone attacks. The deaths were confirmed by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) in Jordan. The incident took place yesterday and was officially disclosed at 6.21pm BST today.

The statement from CENTCOM revealed that two American service members were killed during the defense against the Iranian attacks. Additionally, one service member is currently unaccounted for. Four other US military personnel were evacuated to Jordanian hospitals for medical treatment but have since been discharged. Those with minor injuries have returned to their duties. For privacy reasons, CENTCOM will not release further details, including the identities of the deceased soldiers, until 24 hours after notifying their next of kin.

Shortly before CENTCOM’s announcement, Iran’s Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, criticized President Trump’s approval of a memorandum of understanding, stating it was “worthless.” The Supreme Leader pointed out the US’s repeated breaches of the agreement, emphasizing the lack of credibility in the US President’s signature.
