A vehicle believed to be carrying explosives crashed in an Amsterdam neighborhood following a police pursuit. The incident occurred after an ATM robbery in Germany, with authorities responding to the scene on Nierkerkestraat in Osdorp.
The area has been sealed off, and residents within a hundred-meter radius have been evacuated due to the discovery of potential explosives in the wrecked car. The occupants of the vehicle fled the scene and are currently evading capture.
The pursuit by law enforcement reportedly began after a robbery in Germany involving a BMW M1. The car was first sighted in Fürth, Bavaria, before being spotted in the Netherlands later on.
According to Dutch news outlet Nos, the same vehicle crashed in Amsterdam Nieuw-West during the police chase.
