Authorities claimed that the man’s outstanding tab amounted to approximately €1,500 (£1,285) during the period leading up to his apprehension on suspicion of fraud. The exact number of venues the man frequented before his arrest remains unclear.
In a social media update, the local police humorously warned against attempting to enjoy a free holiday, emphasizing that the arrested individual was caught after dining and lodging without settling bills across the city. The police quipped, “He was traveling light – both in terms of luggage and his wallet.”
A police spokesperson revealed that officers had responded to multiple complaints regarding the man’s actions before finally taking him into custody.
