Prince Harry and Meghan have landed in the United Kingdom, marking their return after residing in the United States for six years. The couple’s surprising decision to come back to Britain was confirmed by various media outlets, including the BBC and the Daily Telegraph. Their arrival was on a private charter flight from Van Nuys, Calif., which landed at Birmingham International Airport around noon local time, as shown by flight-tracking websites.
Their children, Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5, have already been enrolled in British schools and will commence classes in September. Although the family plans to reside in a private nonroyal residence outside London, the exact location remains undisclosed.
Harry and Meghan had relinquished their royal duties over six years ago to pursue career opportunities with Netflix and Spotify. Tensions arose with the Royal Family as the couple criticized palace staff for insensitivity towards Meghan’s mental health and raised concerns of racism and media manipulation within the family.
