In a shocking incident, a vicious individual mutilated a cat by gouging out its eyes, cutting off its tail, and inflicting other severe injuries before abandoning the animal at a random residence. The RSPCA described the cat as completely mutilated, indicating that it must have endured immense suffering due to the deliberate harm it suffered.
The cat, which was a black male, was discovered lifeless on the doorstep of a house in Axminster Crescent, Welling, on the morning of February 7. The injuries included a broken jaw, facial trauma, severe wounds on the body, and the removal of its tail and eyes. Despite some injuries possibly resembling those from a road accident, the deliberate nature of the injuries was evident upon closer examination.
Inspector Clive Hopwood, leading the investigation for the RSPCA, expressed deep distress over the gruesome discovery, highlighting the cat’s extensive mutilation. The circumstances surrounding the cat’s injuries are being thoroughly investigated, with suspicions raised about potential deliberate acts of cruelty towards the animal.
The RSPCA and local authorities are urging anyone with information or relevant footage from the area to come forward. The cat, which was neutered and microchipped, remains unidentified as the chip’s registered contact number is inactive. The Metropolitan Police has been contacted for further input on the case.
