Four individuals, including a four-year-old child, were injured in what is believed to be a dog attack in Middlesbrough, resulting in all four requiring hospital care.
Authorities were called to Marshall Avenue in Brambles Farm after receiving reports of a Malinois dog attacking the group around 2:10 pm the previous day.
Law enforcement officers intervened, apprehended the dog, and detained a 15-year-old boy, a 34-year-old man, and a 36-year-old woman on suspicion of managing a dangerously out-of-control dog that caused harm. They are currently under investigation.
The child and three adults sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were treated at a hospital, as reported by Teesside Live.
Temporary Inspector Mike Dalton, from Cleveland Police’s Middlesbrough response team, stated, “Once the report was received, officers promptly responded to the incident and took control of the dog. Three individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident and will be interrogated as part of the inquiry.”
Dalton urged anyone with information or footage related to the incident to come forward by contacting 101 or referring to incident reference number 088568. He also encouraged concerned residents to communicate with the authorities.
