“Child Killed in Essex Lorry Collision, Driver Arrested”

A tragic incident occurred in Essex as a young boy lost his life following a collision with a lorry. The authorities responded to the scene on Epping Road in Ongar after receiving a report around 4.20pm on Friday. A 48-year-old man from Derbyshire was taken into custody on suspicion of causing serious injuries through dangerous driving.

As investigations unfolded, the road was temporarily closed for evidence collection. Regrettably, the child succumbed to his injuries in the hospital, leading to the arrest of the driver on suspicion of causing death through dangerous driving, as confirmed by Essex Police. The family of the boy is receiving support from specialized officers during this difficult time.

The arrested individual has been released on bail until mid-September while the police inquiries progress. The law enforcement authorities made a public statement urging potential witnesses and individuals with dash cam footage to come forward and assist in the ongoing investigation.
