“Drone Attack Sparks Fire at Kuwait Intl Airport”

Date:

A significant drone attack has struck a major international airport. Reports confirm that Kuwait International Airport was targeted by drones, resulting in a fire on the premises. The attack occurred around 2 am local time on Wednesday, March 25.

The drones specifically aimed at a fuel tank at the airport, igniting the fire. Fortunately, there have been no reported casualties, as confirmed by Mr. Abdullah Al-Rajhi, the official spokesperson for Competent Authorities.

Firefighters are currently working to extinguish the flames at the aviation hub of the country. Due to severe structural damage caused by previous drone strikes, Kuwait International Airport remains completely closed to commercial passenger traffic, with no incoming or outgoing flights.

In a prior incident on February 28, the airport experienced another drone attack resulting in multiple injuries at the passenger terminal. The General Authority of Civil Aviation in Kuwait released a statement addressing the recent drone attack on the fuel tank, emphasizing that emergency procedures were promptly activated, with firefighting teams and relevant authorities managing the situation on-site.
