Ex-Duchess Sarah Ferguson has been keeping a low profile away from the public eye and cameras amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding her association with Jeffrey Epstein.
Ferguson and her former husband, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, were asked to vacate their long-standing residence, the Royal Lodge, earlier this year. While Andrew relocated to Wood Farm on the private Sandringham Estate, it is believed that Ferguson had to make her own living arrangements post-eviction.
The disgraced ex-Royal was last sighted on December 12 at the christening of her granddaughter Athena Mapelli Mozzi at St James’ Palace in London. Since then, there have been few potential sightings, but Ferguson has largely disappeared from public view.
Emails from the Epstein Files revealed Ferguson referring to the convicted sex offender as a “supreme friend” despite his criminal history. She described him as the “brother [she] always wished for” in a 2009 email, although being mentioned in the files does not imply any wrongdoing on her part.
Following the removal of her royal titles and privileges and the loss of her residence, Ferguson faced additional humiliation when her “Freedom of the City of York” honor was revoked after a unanimous vote due to her ties to Epstein.
While Ferguson’s current whereabouts remain a mystery, speculations suggest she may have sought refuge at a luxury clinic in Zurich, Switzerland, shortly after Christmas. Reports indicate that she values the care and expert health treatments provided at the Paracelsus Recovery Clinic.
Additionally, sightings have placed Ferguson at Cork Airport in Ireland and potential locations in Spain, including the Sotogrande development near Marbella and the Mayrlife resort in Austria. She could also be in Portugal, spending time at her daughter Princess Eugenie’s coastal villa in Melides.
Ferguson has a history of visiting various destinations, including the US, where she has stayed with affluent acquaintances in places like Beverly Hills and Palm Beach. There are also theories suggesting she might be in Los Angeles with Priscilla Presley or have connections in the Middle East.
Amidst the uncertainty, Ferguson’s half-brother manages the family farm in Hampshire, while she could be at the Wiltshire property of her former partner Paddy McNally. Her daughter Princess Beatrice resides in a lavish Cotswolds home, and her sister Jane lives in Australia.
Ferguson has sought solace at wellness retreats in Thailand and India in the past, and she maintains close ties in China. Her adventurous spirit has taken her to unconventional locations like Yellowknife, Canada, as a form of therapeutic retreat.
While the ex-Duchess’ whereabouts continue to intrigue the public, her varied past travels and connections suggest she could be seeking refuge or support in familiar or new settings around the globe.
