Duchess of Sussex’s Father to Get Prosthetic Leg

Date:

The son of the Duchess of Sussex has disclosed that her father, Thomas Markle Snr, 81, is set to undergo a fitting for a prosthetic leg in the near future. Following a life-saving operation in December where his left leg was amputated due to a blood clot, Mr. Markle has been undergoing rehabilitation in the Philippines, where he currently resides.

Thomas Jnr, Mr. Markle’s son, mentioned that his father is currently undergoing therapy and physical rehab, with the next step being the fitting of a prosthetic to aid in his walking recovery. The primary focus is on helping him regain mobility after the amputation below the knee.

Despite the estrangement between the Duchess and her father since her marriage to Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan reportedly reached out to her dad after his health ordeal. A letter from Meghan was delivered to his hospital bedside by US embassy officials.

However, Thomas Jnr expressed disappointment that Meghan has not provided financial assistance for their father’s medical care, as their father’s health insurance does not cover all the expenses. Mr. Markle has also faced additional health challenges in recent years, including two heart attacks and a stroke.

In a recent video on YouTube, Thomas Jnr criticized Meghan for not offering support to their father, emphasizing the importance of caring for him during his health struggles. The Duchess was requested for a response to the situation.
