Holidaymakers flying from London Gatwick or Manchester with easyJet should take note of a recent change that may impact their travel plans. The budget airline offers an extensive range of flights from London Gatwick Airport, connecting travelers to popular destinations like Amsterdam, Barcelona, Budapest, Crete, Ibiza, Gran Canaria, Paris, Prague, and Santorini. Similarly, easyJet operates flights to 20 different destinations from Manchester Airport, including Alicante, Athens, Bordeaux, Copenhagen, and Corfu.
As the summer holidays and the upcoming May half-term approach, both airports are expected to experience increased traffic as numerous Brits embark on journeys abroad. However, passengers with easyJet flights departing from London Gatwick and Manchester airports need to be aware of two significant changes.
The airline has announced terminal changes at both London Gatwick and Manchester airports. It is essential for travelers to be informed about these changes before their departure, as it could impact parking arrangements or drop-off locations, with many preferring proximity to their departure terminal.
For London Gatwick travelers, all easyJet flights will operate exclusively from the North Terminal starting from March 29, 2026. The North Terminal is a short 2-3 minute journey from the South Terminal via a free inter-terminal shuttle service that operates 24/7.
Additionally, passengers flying from Manchester Airport will experience a similar change. Starting from November 19, 2025, all easyJet flights at Manchester Airport will depart and arrive exclusively from Terminal 2. This move is part of Manchester Airport’s initiative to enhance facilities and improve the overall travel experience for customers.
Passengers are advised to allocate extra time for their journey to adapt to the new terminal arrangement and to follow airport signage for a seamless navigation experience. Being informed about these terminal changes is crucial to avoid any travel disruptions or delays, ensuring a smooth and stress-free journey.
In a separate development, easyJet has issued an important update alerting customers about potential delays following the implementation of the European Union’s new Entry/Exit System (EES). Passengers traveling through European airports may encounter longer queues at passport control due to the EES border checks, which may involve biometric scans of faces and fingerprints. Travelers are advised to plan their journey accordingly and to allow for additional time at the airport to accommodate potential delays.
To streamline the travel process, easyJet suggests that passengers drop off their bags early, proceed through security promptly, and head to the gate as soon as it is announced. Ensuring all necessary travel documents are in order is crucial, with passengers urged to have the required paperwork ready for inspection upon arrival. It is essential for travelers to remain informed about these procedures to ensure a smooth and hassle-free travel experience.
