The world’s top beach has recently been announced, and it is truly stunning. Every year, The World’s 50 Best Beaches selects the most exceptional sandy shores for their prestigious list. Their 2026 rankings are the result of extensive exploration by judges, Beach Ambassadors, and the World’s 50 Beaches team across the globe.
In the previous year, Cala Goloritzé in Italy was crowned as the best beach, praised for its emotional beauty and raw allure. However, this year, Cala Goloritzé did not retain its top position and dropped out of the top ten entirely.
Among the top ten beaches this year is a hidden gem located within the protected Similan Islands National Park, accessible only from November to May to allow for natural habitat restoration. This beach boasts clear turquoise waters, unique granite boulders, and fine white sand, making it a perfect spot for snorkeling.
Koh Rong in Cambodia is another top beach known for its long stretch of pristine white sand and minimal development, offering a peaceful and serene environment. Despite its popularity, strict regulations have preserved its charm and cleanliness, with a notable rock formation called ‘El Hongo.’
On Vomo Island, East Beach stands out as an oasis of tranquility, sheltered by tall palm trees and offering a secluded and calm retreat. Nosy Iranja, off the coast of Madagascar, features two small islands connected by a sandbar, ideal for snorkeling among turtles.
Wharton Beach in Australia is a remote paradise with clear turquoise waters and white sands, providing a serene escape from the bustling beaches in the region. Fteri Beach on Kefalonia offers a secluded cove surrounded by towering cliffs and crystal-clear turquoise waters accessible by boat or a challenging hike.
Claiming the number one spot this year is Entalula Beach in Palawan, renowned for its towering limestone cliffs juxtaposed against soft white sand, creating a visually stunning setting. Accessible only by boat, Entalula Beach remains tranquil despite its extraordinary beauty.
