Victims of Jeffrey Epstein have issued a strong message to Donald Trump, vowing not to let go until those associated with the disgraced financier are held accountable. The survivors of Epstein gathered in Washington DC following an invitation by Democrats, just hours before Trump’s state of the union address at the US Capitol.
Among the speakers were Sky and Amanda Roberts, the brother and sister-in-law of Virginia Giuffre, who had accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse in 2021 before her passing last year. Despite consistent denials of the allegations by Prince Andrew, the survivors emphasized the importance of being acknowledged and heard.
Amanda Roberts affirmed their stance by stating, “Today is a pivotal moment. We demand recognition from this administration and the nation that survivors must not be overlooked. We stand firm, we refuse to be silenced, and we will not fade into the background.”
Addressing the press in Washington DC, she continued, “While the president may push to move past the Epstein scandal, we declare today that we will not forget, and the world will not turn a blind eye.”
Jamie Raskin, a member of the US judiciary committee, highlighted the significance of the ongoing revelations from the Epstein files. He emphasized that the issue resonates with millions of Americans who have endured similar traumas of abuse and exploitation, forming the basis for a relentless pursuit of truth and justice.
Regarding Trump’s recent claims of exoneration based on the released files, questions have been raised by survivors, Democrats, and even some Republicans. Concerns linger over undisclosed or heavily redacted documents, fueling suspicions of potential cover-ups, including alleged removal of references to Trump by the FBI.
Former Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene, once an ally of Trump who has since criticized him, took to social media to challenge his handling of the Epstein case. Greene underscored the importance of acknowledging the survivors’ plight, releasing all pertinent files, and holding accountable any influential individuals implicated in the scandal.
The unresolved aspects of the Epstein saga continue to draw attention and scrutiny, reflecting a broader societal demand for transparency, accountability, and justice in confronting cases of abuse and exploitation.
