Facebook experienced a widespread outage, preventing many users from logging into the social media platform. The DownDetector website revealed a significant surge in reports of access issues on Facebook in the UK and US around 9:40 pm.

Numerous users worldwide continue to report Facebook downtime, with complaints pouring in from various countries. The problem appears to affect the browser version of Facebook for some users, although a few can still access the platform via the mobile app.

Users in the US, UK, Indonesia, Ireland, Canada, the Philippines, Greece, and Australia, among others, are facing difficulties accessing Facebook presently. The ongoing complaints suggest intermittent faults on the platform, with users describing fluctuating availability.

Meta, Facebook’s parent company, has been contacted for further details, and updates will be provided once received. In the US, nearly 10,000 users reported problems accessing Facebook, with reports escalating to 9,780 around 10 pm GMT.

Users have shared their frustrations, citing issues like accounts being temporarily unavailable and sporadic service disruptions. Many encounter error messages indicating temporary unavailability due to site issues, prompting them to try again later.
