“Fatal Shooting at High School Hockey Game by Suspect Robert Dorgan”

Date:

The first images have surfaced of a suspect who allegedly carried out a shooting at a high school ice hockey game, resulting in two fatalities and three individuals in critical condition.

Law enforcement has identified the alleged shooter as Robert Dorgan, aged 56, who opened fire at the event in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, on the afternoon of Monday, February 16. Pawtucket Police Chief Tina Goncalves revealed that Dorgan also uses the name Roberta Esposito.

The venue was hosting games for various local schools when the incident occurred. A live stream of the game captured the moment when both spectators and players sought cover on the floor as gunshots were heard.

Goncalves stated, “We have identified the suspect by the birth name, Robert Dorgan. We have also discovered that the individual goes by the name Roberta and uses the last name Esposito.”

Videos circulated online show players exiting the playing area and removing their skates, while others climbed over the rink’s barrier and hurried to the locker room.

Among the victims is a young girl, with investigators suggesting that the shooting may have been the result of a targeted attack related to a family dispute.

Reports indicate that Dorgan’s wife and three children were among those shot. It is believed that Dorgan took his own life with a gunshot wound.

Dorgan was reportedly the parent of a senior student at North Providence High School.
