Thousands of users of the ChatGPT application faced issues this morning during a global outage. ChatGPT users from various countries, including the UK, US, India, Japan, and Australia, encountered difficulties logging in or sending messages.
OpenAI acknowledged experiencing problems with several services, such as ChatGPT and Codex, and stated that they are actively investigating the issue. Reports of service disruptions have been registered by users in multiple cities across the UK, with a concentration of reports coming from London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Manchester, and Southampton.
One ChatGPT user humorously mentioned resorting to using their own brain to compose emails due to the unresponsiveness of the AI tool. Over 3,000 OpenAI users in the UK reported issues with AI services today, with a majority of 79% attributed to ChatGPT users, as reported by DownDetector.
Furthermore, 9% of users experienced problems with the OpenAI app, while 8% reported issues with Codex. The situation has caused inconvenience for many users relying on these AI services.
