The business belonging to Hannah Ingram-Moore, the daughter of Captain Sir Tom Moore, has seen a significant decline in value, now standing at just £850 compared to its previous reserves of £484,894.
This decline comes on the fifth anniversary of her father’s passing at the age of 100, following his notable fundraising efforts for the NHS. Controversy arose when accusations surfaced that Hannah and her husband Colin had allegedly kept £800,000 from a book deal, failing to contribute any to Captain Tom’s charitable cause.
An investigation by the Charity Commission in November 2024 revealed various actions taken by the Ingram-Moore family to capitalize on Captain Tom’s fame. Among these actions was the construction of a luxury spa on their property under the Captain Tom Foundation name, which was subsequently ordered to be dismantled.
One of their companies, Club Nook, which was meant to direct £1.4 million from book sales to charity, now holds a value of only £850, a significant decrease from its previous reserves. Other businesses associated with the family also show substantial financial setbacks in recent financial reports.
Matrix Group Limited, a family management consultancy established in 2010, reported a deficit of £117,880 as of August 2024, compared to being in profit in August 2021. Another consultancy firm, Paull and Dilley Limited, led by Hannah and Colin Ingram-Moore, is now in debt by £34,226.
The financial status of other companies like Tredwell Success Limited, Whitaker Global Limited, and the 1189808 Foundation (formerly Captain Tom Foundation) has also shown negative trends in recent years, with losses reported in their most recent financial statements.
Despite these financial challenges, Hannah Ingram-Moore continues to share inspirational stories through her Youtube channel, Moore Moments, focusing on themes of resilience. However, these videos receive limited viewership, with most garnering fewer than 200 views. On her website, she identifies herself as an author, motivational speaker, and business mentor.
Captain Sir Tom Moore gained global recognition for his fundraising efforts during the Covid pandemic, raising nearly £40 million for NHS charities by walking laps in his garden before his 100th birthday.
