“Joshua vs Fury: Saudi Arabia Bout Confirmed”

Date:

Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury have officially agreed to face each other in a boxing match. The announcement was made by Saudi Arabian boxing chief Turki Alalsheikh on social media, although there has been no confirmation from either fighter. Joshua is set to have a warm-up bout in July before the main event.

Fury recently made a successful return to the ring after a 16-month hiatus, defeating Arslanbek Makhmudov. Fury disclosed that he had already signed the contract to fight Joshua, who did not engage in a post-fight face-off. Assuming Joshua emerges victorious in his upcoming fight without any injuries, the highly anticipated clash with Fury is scheduled for November, with the fight set to be televised.

Following his win over Jake Paul last Christmas, Joshua had planned to return to the ring in March but was delayed due to a car accident in Nigeria that resulted in the loss of two close friends. The 36-year-old has been honing his skills in Ukraine alongside champion Oleksandr Usyk, who believes Joshua will triumph over Fury, calling him the future undisputed heavyweight champion.

After his recent fight, Fury expressed confusion over Joshua’s absence for a face-off, citing the challenges both fighters have faced in their careers. Fury emphasized the unpredictability of heavyweight boxing and the risks involved in interim fights. Despite his respect for Joshua, Fury expressed disappointment in Joshua’s reluctance to engage in the face-off but remains hopeful that the long-awaited bout will take place.
