Emergency services responded to an incident involving a light aircraft at Hawarden Airport in Flintshire, North Wales, near the Cheshire border. The incident occurred at 3:10 pm yesterday. Footage from the scene depicted three fire engines present on the runway, with a crane lifting the overturned aircraft onto a platform.
According to a spokesperson from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service’s control room, crews from Buckley, Deeside, and Wrexham were dispatched to the light aircraft incident at Airbus UK in Hawarden Airport. The Mirror has reached out to the fire service’s press office for a comprehensive statement, and Hawarden Airport has been contacted for comment.
Martyn John Wulfran shared a video showing the aircraft’s recovery process at Hawarden Airport, stating that emergency services and airport officials were managing the situation where the plane had flipped over on the runway.
