A tragic incident occurred as a man lost his life following a collision with a vehicle on the A27 in East Sussex. The man fell from a footbridge after being struck by a car near the Dyke Road roundabouts in Hove around 9:15 am on Saturday.
Emergency services swiftly responded to the scene where the 59-year-old local man was pronounced dead. Sussex Police confirmed that the man’s next of kin has been notified, and his death is not considered suspicious.
The A27 had to be shut down in both directions for several hours on Saturday before resuming normal traffic flow.
