“Man Injured by Falling Object in London’s Piccadilly Circus”

A man aged 57 was swiftly taken to the hospital after being struck by a falling object in the bustling area of Piccadilly Circus in London.

Following the incident that occurred around 2:27 pm on Coventry Street, an air ambulance was spotted landing in Trafalgar Square today.

The Metropolitan Police representative mentioned that emergency services are actively responding to an event on Coventry Street, W1, where a 57-year-old man was hit by a piece of masonry that fell from a building. The injured man is currently under the care of the London Ambulance Service and will soon be transported to the hospital by London’s Air Ambulance. The extent of his injuries remains unknown. Authorities advise the public to avoid the area for safety reasons.

A spokesperson from London’s Ambulance Service stated that they received a call on Tuesday, the 28th, at 2:27 pm reporting an injured individual at Coventry Street, London, W1. Ambulance crews, an incident response officer, an advanced paramedic practitioner, and London’s air ambulance were dispatched to the scene. The man received initial treatment at the site before being taken to a major trauma center in London.

An eyewitness informed LBC that the object caused the man to fall, resulting in a severe head injury with significant bleeding.

The specific object that fell on the man has not been identified yet, and as a precautionary measure, the area has been sealed off.
