A shocking video captures individuals wearing masks driving their car into a highway rest area, where they proceeded to rob an ATM and slot machines.
According to witness Rupon Miah, 34, he recorded the incident at Wetherby Services in North Yorkshire around 2 am on July 29. The footage shows a black Nissan Juke reversing down the concourse and the masked men damaging the ATM before targeting the slot machines.
Rupon, who hails from London, recounted witnessing the car ramming into the service station and the individuals wearing balaclavas raiding the slot machine area. He observed them loading the ATM into the car’s boot before driving away.
North Yorkshire Police are actively investigating the case, with no arrests made yet. Authorities are seeking witnesses and information related to the theft involving the cash machines at Wetherby Services. The suspects, wearing face coverings and gloves, used a Nissan Juke to carry out the robbery, eventually setting the vehicle on fire in Leeds. The stolen cash machine was recovered inside the burnt car.
Detectives are especially interested in speaking to three individuals who may have witnessed the incident and could provide valuable information.
