More than 200 individuals, including Robert Del Naja, the lead vocalist of Massive Attack, were taken into custody as a large gathering protested the prohibition on Palestine Action in central London. Demonstrators assembled at Trafalgar Square, holding signs denouncing genocide and expressing solidarity with Palestine Action. A significant police presence, with around 100 officers, monitored the protest at Trafalgar Square before initiating arrests. Del Naja, also known as 3D, was among the demonstrators and was arrested by police while holding a sign advocating against genocide and in support of Palestine Action.
During the protest, numerous individuals were escorted away by officers, including one woman who requested a break while being removed. The crowd criticized the police for their handling of the situation, particularly in incidents involving female protesters.
Police apprehended a total of 212 individuals during the mass protest against the ban on Palestine Action. The Metropolitan Police clarified that all arrests were related to showing support for a prohibited organization. The age range of those arrested varied from 27 to 82 years old.
