Police and a helicopter have been searching intensively in a major city in the UK tonight for a nine-year-old child who was reported missing earlier in the evening. The emergency services responded promptly to the situation, with Plymouth Police launching a search operation in the Barne Barton area of the city. Several police cars and a helicopter were seen in the vicinity around 7 pm. Officers were observed searching the Tamar View community complex and Estuary Way, with the helicopter also assisting from above.
An update from a Devon and Cornwall Police spokesperson to Plymouth Live revealed that the child had wandered off but was found safe and sound within an hour.
