“Mother Confesses to Freezing Newborns”

Date:

In a shocking incident that has come to light in Aillevillers-et-Lyaumont, a 50-year-old woman has confessed to authorities that she killed two newborn babies by placing them in the family freezer after giving birth. The disturbing events occurred between 2011 and 2018, as revealed by the woman during police custody.

The Besançon public prosecutor’s office has initiated an inquiry into the matter following the woman’s admission. The babies were reportedly placed in the freezer shortly after their births, between the woman’s last childbirth in 2011 and her return to work in 2018.

The discovery of the bodies in the family freezer led to a judicial investigation into the alleged murder of minors under 15 years old. The woman admitted to giving birth to the babies at home, wrapping them immediately after delivery, and placing them in the freezer in the laundry room of her house.

During questioning, the woman expressed remorse and sorrow for her actions, crying regularly and apologizing to her children and family. She had concealed her pregnancies from friends and family by wearing loose clothing and providing false explanations about her weight gain.

Further investigations revealed that a family member, while sorting the freezer used solely by the mother, discovered the first baby. Subsequently, another body wrapped in a bag was found, leading to the woman’s arrest in Boulogne-Billancourt.

It was disclosed that the woman had nine children with three different fathers and abruptly left her home in December, leaving behind her four youngest children and their father, as well as another child. Her partner, who claimed ignorance of the pregnancies, was also taken into custody but is not currently facing charges.

An autopsy is scheduled, and the case has been entrusted to the Besançon public prosecutor’s office. The woman faces prosecution for crimes that could result in a life sentence and is expected to be remanded.

Local reports suggest that a murder had occurred in Aillevillers in 2014, prompting some to describe the village as “cursed,” adding to the tragic nature of the unfolding events.
