“Mother Missing After Caribbean Swim: Search Underway”

Date:

A search effort is underway to locate a mother who went missing during a swimming excursion on a picturesque Caribbean island.

Elizabeth Waddell, aged 44, vanished while staying at the popular tourist spot Grand Anse in St. George, Grenada. She was accompanied by a friend when she decided to take a swim but failed to return.

Concern arose after several hours when her friend realized Elizabeth had left without her phone. According to Amanda Romano-Harmon, a close friend, Elizabeth had put on her swimsuit and headed outside their Airbnb. Her friend noticed her absence after finishing an online course, finding only her towel on the pier, indicating she may have gone for a swim.

A missing persons report has been lodged, and Elizabeth’s husband, Cailen, made a plea for information on social media. He implored anyone with connections to Grenada to assist in the search, expressing optimism for his wife’s safe return.

Cailen and their daughter have joined the search effort in Grenada. He commended the local police for their support and ongoing investigation, mentioning their proactive communication and exhaustive search efforts.

Amanda, a friend of the couple for 25 years, mentioned that Cailen and his daughter have divided their search efforts to cover more ground. The Royal Grenada Police force is collaborating with fishermen, boat operators, and coastal residents to aid in the search for Elizabeth’s safe return.
