Ian Huntley’s mother reportedly visited him secretly in the hospital and expressed to friends her conflicted feelings, saying a part of her wishes he doesn’t survive, following an attack on him in prison where he was bludgeoned by another inmate. The notorious killer, responsible for the murder of 10-year-olds Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman in the Soham double murder case, is currently in a critical state after sustaining severe brain injuries in the assault at HMP Frankland.
His mother, Lynda Richards, traveled 175 miles from Lincolnshire to be by his side, revealing to acquaintances that she longs to be free from the burden of the situation. Huntley, serving a life sentence for the heinous crime committed in 2002 in Cambridgeshire, was taken to the hospital with minimal chances of survival.
Reports indicate that Richards, accompanied by a friend, was escorted to the hospital where her son is under armed guard. The source stated that she struggled to recognize her son due to the severity of the injuries inflicted upon him. Despite the complex emotions involved, she maintains a close bond with her son.
In further updates, it was disclosed that there has been no change in Huntley’s condition, and he remains in a serious state in the hospital. The alleged perpetrator of the attack, identified as triple killer Anthony Russell, has not been officially confirmed by the authorities. Meanwhile, new revelations suggest that Huntley was aware of the threats against him and had been paranoid about potential poisoning, heightening the tension surrounding the situation.
