Israel’s Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, has issued a stern warning to the people of Iran to take action following a series of strikes on the country. The United States and Israel conducted a coordinated attack on the Iranian capital and other cities, prompting retaliatory strikes on US and Israeli military bases across the Middle East, including in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar. Netanyahu urged the Iranian populace to rise against the regime and overthrow the government after a day of widespread strikes and attacks in the region.
In a passionate plea, Netanyahu stated, “This is the moment to act, do not remain passive. You must rise up and bring down this regime. Your efforts will not be in vain. Help has arrived, and it is time to unite.”
Additionally, Netanyahu hinted at the demise of Iran’s supreme leader during the day’s attacks, as reports indicated damage to key structures in Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s compound. He suggested that there are indications that the supreme leader may no longer be alive.
US President Donald Trump, via Truth Social, seemed to confirm Khamenei’s death, claiming justice for the people of Iran and others affected by his actions. Trump praised the collaboration between the US and Israel in neutralizing the threat posed by Khamenei and his associates.
Despite these claims, Iranian officials contested the reports, asserting that the supreme leader is still alive. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi denied Khamenei’s death, acknowledging the loss of some commanders but refuting the demise of the supreme leader.
