Passenger Dies on 12-Day Cruise Voyage

A passenger has tragically passed away during a 12-day cruise voyage from Australia to New Zealand.

The authorities were alerted to the unexpected death aboard the Anthem of the Seas vessel around 1:40 am on Wednesday, March 25. The circumstances surrounding the passenger’s demise are currently under investigation.

The ship, with over 4,000 passengers and approximately 1,300 crew members, departed from Sydney on Sunday, March 22, en route to Waitangi in the Bay of Islands. Its scheduled arrival date was Wednesday, April 1, as reported by the Daily Mail.

According to reports, Royal Caribbean, the cruise operator, was contacted for a statement regarding the incident.

The Anthem of the Seas ship boasts a total of 16 decks and accommodates 2,090 staterooms.
