Paultons Park has provided a preview of its upcoming Valgard: Realm of the Vikings attraction, a £12 million venture set to debut later this spring.
Located in Hampshire, the park is widely recognized for its popular Peppa Pig World, which has been a hit with families since its opening in 2011. Despite its success, the new Valgard area is geared towards older visitors, solidifying the park’s reputation as a hub for exhilarating rides.
Scheduled to launch on Saturday, May 16, Valgard: Realm of the Vikings will introduce the thrilling Drakon rollercoaster, featuring a vertical lift hill and exhilarating twists that will invert riders. Additionally, the Vild Swing ride will elevate passengers 12 meters into the air while spinning them around for a heart-pounding experience.
As part of the Viking-themed expansion, the park has transformed its former Cobra ride into Raven, a bobsled adventure tailored to fit the new theme. Younger guests can explore a Viking-inspired playground, complemented by the themed Feasting Hall restaurant offering an authentic dining experience.
Lawrence Mancey, the Marketing and Technology Director at Paultons Park, expressed excitement about the progress made on the Valgard project despite challenging weather conditions. The park’s dedication to creating an immersive and action-packed experience for families is evident in the construction of Valgard.
In addition to the Valgard attraction, Paultons Park features six distinct themed areas, including Tornado Springs and Lost Kingdom. Tickets for the park start at £46.75 per person and can be conveniently booked online, with the option for a second day free when booking a short break through the official website.
