People’s Postcode Lottery has once again increased the price of tickets, much to the dismay of players. The new monthly subscription fee has gone up from £12.25 to £12.50, marking the third price hike in recent years. Previously, the cost had been raised from £12 to £12.25 just last year, following an increase from £10 to £12 back in 2023. Angry players have taken to TrustPilot to voice their frustrations over the latest rise.
Expressing their discontent, one individual wrote, “ANOTHER PRICE INCREASE. When will it stop?” Another commenter lamented, “Not pleased with the continuous price increments; it won’t be long before it reaches £13, making the game less enjoyable and more of a disappointment each month.”
In response to the backlash, People’s Postcode Lottery stated that the upcoming 25p raise would lead to the largest prize pool ever offered by the lottery, promising more significant rewards across various draws to keep the gameplay engaging and thrilling for all participants.
The price adjustment is set to take effect for the April 2026 draw and is already reflected on the official lottery website. The Mirror has reached out to People’s Postcode Lottery for further comments. The lottery operates based on players’ postcodes, with entries entered into daily, weekly, and monthly draws, offering prizes such as daily £1,000 wins for 20 postcodes, a £1 million Saturday prize split among residents, and monthly £250,000 or larger rewards.
Interestingly, multiple individuals residing on the same street stand a chance to win the People’s Postcode Lottery. Launched in 2005, the lottery has raised over £1 billion for numerous charities, thanks to the millions of players who have participated over the years.
