“Photos Surface of Andrew Windsor and Peter Mandelson’s First Meeting”

Date:

A photo has emerged showing the first encounter between Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Peter Mandelson, just weeks before they were later photographed with Jeffrey Epstein in bathrobes.

The meeting took place at a National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) event in 1999, held at Buckingham Palace as part of the NSPCC’s Full Stop Campaign aimed at raising awareness about child abuse. During the lunch, they discussed efforts to combat child cruelty while enjoying a meal of “plaice in a nice cream sauce.”

Shortly after this event, both individuals were linked to Epstein, who was later convicted of serious crimes related to child exploitation. Peter was serving as the vice-chair of the NSPCC’s Full Stop campaign, with Andrew as the chair, when the controversial photos with Epstein surfaced. Despite subsequent arrests on suspicion of misconduct, both deny any wrongdoing and are currently under investigation.

In an interview with Hello! Magazine, Andrew expressed his commitment to fighting child abuse, citing his role as a father of two young children. Meanwhile, Giles Pegram, the former NSPCC fundraising director, admitted regret over bringing Andrew and Mandelson together for the project, given the subsequent controversies surrounding Epstein.

Reflecting on the past decisions, Pegram acknowledged that with hindsight, he would have made different choices regarding their appointments. The NSPCC condemned the revelations from the Epstein files, emphasizing the importance of holding all involved accountable for their actions, particularly in the exploitation and abuse of vulnerable individuals.

The organization expressed solidarity with the victims of these crimes, highlighting the need for justice and support for those who have long been silenced. They emphasized the importance of centering the voices of survivors in the pursuit of justice and accountability.
