“Police Seek Buskers in Train Assault Case”

Images have been released by the police of two buskers they are seeking to speak with following a sexual assault incident on a crowded train. The assault occurred when a group of buskers entered the Elizabeth Line service at Whitechapel in east London, around 11 pm on June 6.

According to authorities, two men from the busker group allegedly assaulted a woman on the train and then disembarked at the subsequent stop, which was Stratford Station. The British Transport Police have published CCTV images of the two individuals, hoping that they may possess crucial information related to the case. Individuals with any relevant details are encouraged to contact the police.

A statement from the British Transport Police stated, “BTP detectives investigating a sexual assault on an Elizabeth Line train are seeking to communicate with two men depicted in the released images. On Saturday, June 6, just before 11 pm, a group of buskers boarded an eastbound train at Whitechapel station. During the journey, two men from the group sexually assaulted a woman. They then left the train at Stratford station. Detectives believe that the men in the images could aid in their ongoing investigation.”

Anyone who can identify the individuals in the images or who witnessed the assault is urged to reach out to BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 860 of June 6. Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111.
