A man who used ketamine to incapacitate and sexually assault two women has been sentenced to 18 years in prison, described as a monstrous predator. Khamal Hussain committed these heinous acts in separate incidents, targeting the victims after inviting them to his residence. Despite being under police investigation for the first assault, Hussain proceeded to rape the second victim. The court revealed that both women suffered severe trauma, with one contemplating suicide due to the harrowing ordeal.
The judge praised the bravery of the victims, acknowledging that their courage prevented Hussain from victimizing other women. Hussain was deemed a significant threat to women, with a high likelihood of causing serious harm. The first victim was initially lured to Hussain’s home while intoxicated, where she was drugged with ketamine and sexually abused. The second victim, vulnerable and intoxicated, was also assaulted after ingesting ketamine provided by Hussain.
Hussain faced charges of assault by penetration and rape, among others, and was sentenced to 18 years in prison with an additional four-year extended license period. The judge emphasized Hussain’s predatory behavior and the calculated nature of his crimes. Despite Hussain’s prior convictions for violence and harassment, this was his first sexual offense.
