The Royal Family is gearing up for a significant event later today, which could be their most important occasion of the year. However, Prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who has been embroiled in controversy, seems to be keeping a low profile at Sandringham since his recent arrest.
Since the former Duke of York was taken into custody on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, he has not been spotted in public. It appears that he is laying low at his temporary residence in Wood Farm on the King’s estate, with his security personnel seen walking his dogs, including the corgis inherited from his late mother, the Queen.
Two employees were photographed walking Sandy and Muick near Wood Farm, with Andrew nowhere in sight. These dogs, previously residing at Royal Lodge, were taken in by Mountbatten-Windsor and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson after the Queen’s passing in 2022.
Following the loss of his royal titles and the requirement to vacate Royal Lodge, Buckingham Palace cryptically mentioned that the dogs would “remain within the family,” suggesting they are now with Andrew at his new abode. This has left Fergie without the company of the beloved pets as she searches for a new home.
The former Duchess of York shared her sentiments about the dogs during an appearance on This Morning, where she expressed how much they miss the late Queen. Meanwhile, the Commonwealth Day celebrations coincide with fresh developments concerning Prince Andrew’s legal situation, as reports indicate he is struggling to cover his legal expenses after being informed by the King that he must bear the costs independently.
Additionally, a new photograph has emerged purportedly showing Mountbatten-Windsor with a potential victim of Jeffrey Epstein. The image, released by the United States Department of Justice, depicts a man resembling the former Duke of York with a young woman on his lap, taken inside Epstein’s New York residence.
Mountbatten-Windsor had stayed at Epstein’s Manhattan townhouse for a week in 2010, a visit he explained was to bid farewell to the convicted sex offender in person. Despite the ongoing scrutiny, Prince Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
